In days since Francesca's death we've gone through a lot of emotions. I've finally been able to watch videos and photos of her from before treatment began. I still cry at them, but it's a different kind of emotion. Watching her silly moments have made me laugh again.
I still can feel that just total immersion of love when holding her and it would be the only thing that would help her sleep. The rambunctious kicks she would do on her mat in the living room. The smiles she constantly had on her face, even when going through treatment.
More than $450,000 has been raised since her death to support her team in the Pan Mass Challenge Winter Cycle charity event. And that money is going directly to a fund to cure ATRT at Dana Farber, whose doctors treated Francesca.
Much of the money to fund ATRT research is from private donations and foundations, given it is such a rare form of cancer that is mostly only seen in children under three.
The brutal treatments took such a toll of Francesca, and it pains me how much she had to suffer.
But I'm hopeful with more money for research, we can work to find less tough treatments for kids with ATRT and save other kids and families from the anguish we and some many families have had to and are still going through.

We’re heartbroken to have to announce our beautiful daughter Francesca passed away last night in the arms of her mom and dad. There will always be a Bean-sized hole in our hearts for her. We’re so grateful to have known her love.
We’re so grateful for everyone’s support and kindness. In lieu of flowers, gifts, or food we’d ask people to donate in honor of Francesca to Team Beans in the PMC Winter Cycle, which donates 100% of every rider-raised dollar directly to Dana-Farber.
The Trump campaign's top legal advisor, attorney, and spokesperson Jenna Ellis previously repeatedly called Trump an "idiot," and said his supporters didn't care about "facts," "logic" or that Trump was an "unethical, corrupt, lying, criminal, dirtbag."
"Why should we rest our highest office in America, to a man who fundamentally goes back and forth and really cannot be trusted to be consistent or accurate in anything," Ellis said in one April 2016 radio appearance.
Pentagon's new senior advisor said politicians support Israel because they've been getting "very very rich," from the Israel lobby. And called U.S. involvement in World War Two a "disaster," engineered by the left to get out of the Great Depression.
"Mr. Bolton has become very, very rich and is in the position he's in because of his unconditional support for the Israeli lobby. He is their man on the ground, in the White House," Douglas Macgregor said. cnn.com/2020/11/13/pol…
"The same thing is largely true for Mr. Pompeo, he has aspirations to be president," he added. "He has his hands out for money from the Israeli lobby, the Saudis and others." cnn.com/2020/11/13/pol…
Here's the KFile supercut we just aired of Trump campaign and White House officials attacking Democrats as "sore losers" "cry babies," trying "delegitimize" Trump through "unsubstantiated" recounts that are "based on no evidence" in 2016.
You have people trying to delegitimize the President-elect of the United States right now," Kayleigh McEnany said in November 2016. "You have people out there that are calling for recounts that are unsubstantiated based on no evidence."
"Hillary is on her sore loser tour...And now we have her going through recounts. You know what she needs to do? She needs to get over it. She lost. Get out of the way and let Donald Trump be President," said Matt Schlapp in 2016.
Hey everyone, my little girl is in a pretty rough stretch of her chemotherapy cycle and not feeling so hot. She could really use some prayers right now.
Thank you everyone for your prayers, wish I had some better news to share. Just hoping she turns a corner here soon one of these days. It will all be worth it for a good scan in the future.
Thanks everyone, Beans was doing a little bit better tonight for the first time in a few days. She was finally awake and alert and even managed to smile once for the first smile in a week. Praying we’ve turned a corner here in cycle and things get better for her.
