Some of you know that I pick a poem on the first of each month and then read that same poem every day that month. The result is that I get to know twelve poems really well every year. I am open to suggestions for my January 2021 poem.
And perhaps @daniellevalore, @ruth_franklin and others who joined me in this endeavor in previous years want to join this poetry practice again?
I still haven't decided which poem I'll read every day in January, but Terrance Hayes's "American Sonnet for the New Year" feels awfully relevant: newyorker.com/magazine/2019/…
