This morning's warmup prompt: Design a 90's-style American comic hero 😋

Doodling this I thought, "y'know, this would make a decent cover!" Then I remembered there are TONS of artists on TW & IG, some who command unbelievable levels of talent. Why can't they find work? (Cont. >)
My theory: Publisher mismanagement, nepotism, Weinstein shit, overwhelming political bias, creative inbreeding, and talent searches conducted in bad faith.

Meanwhile Manga is outselling US comics exponentially, IN OUR OWN COUNTRY. Readers know why. Publishers seem blind to it.
The American comics industry has been on life support for 25 years, even while Hollywood superhero flicks are raking in billions. If American Suits continue to ignore new talent raised on Manga, telling US what/how to write and draw, they deserve to go out of business.

18 months ago, I drew the #1 upvoted comic in Reddit history. The next day, r/comics was CONVINCED I was an alt-right crypto fash trying to infiltrate their website. My crimes were drawing a hand gesture they misinterpreted, and following a few conservatives on Twitter. (Thread) ImageImageImageImage
I was brigaded, conspired against, doxxed. I had only 250 followers here on Twitter. Hardly anyone to appeal to for help, to tell the truth to. I contacted every journalist I could think of, but none were interested. My reputation & freelancing career were virtually ruined. Image
I retell this story from time to time because I was not, and am not, who the mob said I was. They stalked me for weeks, silencing me by downvoting everything I typed. This was coordinated. They didn't want to listen to my appeals to reason. They wanted a witch to hunt.
