Sigo llorando. Me reenviaron la carta del Dir. de Flight Operations de @flydubai sobre el retiro de mi papá del 737 ✈️ toda una vida
In the early hours of 28 December 2020, Captain Ricardo O, arriving from Entebbe, set the parking brakes of the Boeing 737-800 under his command,
and shut down the two CFM56-7 engines. Little did he know at the time that the flight, which he and his crew just completed, was his last flight before retiring after a long and distinguished career in the aviation industry
For all intents and purposes, Captain Ricardo was supposed to undertake his last flight on 31 December 2020. Unsurprisingly, life occasionally plays tricks on us, and what was supposed to be Captain Ricardo’s last flight was cancelled.
Captain Ricardo can proudly look back at a long flying career which started in 1977, when he joined the Mexican Airforce. Following his time in the Airforce, where he retired in the rank of a Major(...) Capt. retires after over 40 years in military and commercial aviation
Anyone who had the privilege of flying with Capt. , describe him as ‘an excellent human being and a great colleague with a strong personality and clear vision’. To his close friends he is known as a man who displays ‘a profound spirit of brotherhood, friendship and honesty’.
He is planning to return to his native country Mexico where he will enjoy time with his friends, loved ones.I know you will all join me in thanking for his 10-year contribution in making this airline a place where we can all succeed and wish him a happy, and healthy retirement.
