The main source of funding of the left wing extremist movements is extortion from government projects as well as from corporate companies working in their area of

influence. Most of the time it is in the form of protection money. Sometimes they resort to kidnapping &killings to terrorize the rich people so that they get financial help easily. Left wing extremism is most intense in areas rich in natural mineral resources, such as coal, iron

bauxite, manganese nickel & copper OR the refining factories close to both bordering states as well as states closer to international borders of the country ruled by radical leftists. It is interesting to note that Odisha & Jharkhand account for more than half of country's coal

reserves. Coal is by far India's largest energy resources, while copper mining & refining had increased in the last few decades as highly valuable import alternatives. Therefore it provides them enough scope for extortion. It has to be noted that Naxalites are not messiahs of the

down trodden, but pretend to appear for the rights of people iin the guise of establishing people's government, while the facts are just opposite. Social upliftment of down trodden is never their real aim, rather it is political power. They study the local problems & issues & use

them as fodder to their end game which is clearly the seizure of power through violent means. They have vested interest in keeping poverty alive because it enables them to expand their territory. They don't allow district administration to do any development work like building

roads, improving electricity & water supply in their targetted areas. The local population sooner or in most cases later that they have been used by these ultra leftists & their social & economic issues take a back seat while battle for supremacy emerges as their prime motto of

these extreme leftists & most times it becomes too late & the innocent locals fail to understand that they have been cunningly manipulated & forced to support them either my mesmerizing sermons or by coersion.
