EVERY HONG KONG POLITICIAN YOU HAVE HEARD OF ARE NOW BEING ARRESTED
Context: 52 Hong Kong politicians participated in pro-democracy primaries on 11 and 12 July 2020.

Pro-dem primaries have always been held and allowed in Hong Kong. They help the pro-dems coordinate votes.

Now, all of them are arrested by national security law.

Right: Benny Tai, Convenor of Occupy Central in 2014 and organiser of primaries
Prince Wong, former spokesperson of Scholarism (@joshuawongcf's former group), now Independent.
Ventus Lau, spokesman for the Hong Kong Civil Assembly Team, organised many large anti-government protests in 2019

Fergus Leung: Incumbent District Councillor
Gwyneth Ho: Former reporter of @StandNewsHK. Among those attacked by pro-Beijing thugs in 21 July 2019's attack in Yuen Long (attacker is set free).

Jeremy Tam: Member of Civic Party, former airline pilot

Kinda Li: incumbent District Councillor
Shun Lee: incumbent District Councillor

Sze Tak Loy: Chairman of Hong Kong Association for Democracy and People's Livelihood (ADPL), incumbent District Councillor

Lau Hoi Man: Nurse; Officer for Hong Kong Allied Health Professionals and Nurse Association
Tat Cheng: Former Civic Party, incumbent District Councillor
Ricky Or: incumbent District Councillor
John Clancey (Right): Treasury of Power for Democracy, Lawyer
Wong Chun Yeung: incumbent District Councillor
Joshua Wong (yes, the @joshuawongcf): *ALREADY IN PRISON* His home is now searched by national security police. He is expected to be investigated in prison.
Mike Lam: Co-founder of Aboutthai Hong Kong, a grocery store that imports goods from Thailand. His store is famously pro-democracy (what locals call 'yellow shop').
Claudia Mo: Former journalist and Civic Party / HK First member. Some of us know her for her English lessons.
Ricky Yuen: School Principal of the Union Hospital School of Nursing
An update: it seems Professor Chung is not arrested but is brought to a police station.
Joseph Lee: former member of the Legislative Council; nurse and a Professor and Dean in the School of Nursing and Health Studies at the Open University of Hong Kong
