I’m covering today’s Trump protests in DC, where thousands are already in the streets. Many protesters today see today as a kind of climactic battle for America, and there has been a lot of talk about bringing guns or attacking police.
My first dispatch from today’s Trump protests is live. So far, every protester I’ve talked to has raised the prospect of violence / another civil war if Trump doesn’t win today. thedailybeast.com/desperate-maga…
This Trump supporter’s kit includes Pepe the Frog goggles
There are two main events today in DC Trump’s speech on the Ellipse at noon, and the “wild protest” around Congress. The Trump Ellipse crew is set to head to Congress right as the electoral vote count starts. Here’s the crowd outside Congress now — note the QAnon sign.
This QAnon supporter drove from Ohio to see Trump take on “Satanic” Democrats. She says she and her friends “OD’d on red pills” this summer and got into QAnon. Now she predicts: “The Storm is upon us.”
This fraud dress has been a big hit at the Trump protest. Meanwhile a man is shouting “trial by combat!”
At a Veterans for Trump rally near the Capitol, a speaker says there’s one choice left: “Military tribunals!”
After their leader was arrested on Monday, the Proud Boys have ditched their usual yellow and black for bright orange hats and armbands.
Trump supporter “MAGA Man” is here at the Capitol
These Trump fans in gas masks brought what they call “the pledge against the Swamp.”
Plenty of QAnon gear outside Congress
Protesters strike up a QAnon “Where we go one, we go all” chant as Pence arrives at the Capitol.
Here’s a small portion of the thousands of Trump supporters who have crossed the barricades in an attempt to storm Congress
Police appear to be shooting some kind of gas at the Trump crowd outside the Capitol, which continues to grow.
Huge cheers from the Trump protesters as outside as they breach the Senate
Trump supporters have now totally overwhelmed the front of the Capitol. They’re at the windows of the Capitol, police are falling back now that protesters have the high ground on them.
Just wanted to say thanks for the folks who expressed concern for the safety of me and other reporters today, I'm now out of there. Talked to some reporters who were attacked by the rioters. Terrible to see Congress stormed by fascist groups.

Today’s pro-Trump rally in DC has kicked off with a guy who rewrote Folsom Prison Blues to be about Parler.
Proud Boys leader Enrique Tarrio appears to have been invited to the White House. Pic from his Parler account this morning.
Bad news for Fox: the guy with this sign has ditched them in favor of something called “Worldview Weekend”

Pro-Trump lawyer Lin Wood kicks off his latest "voter fraud" press conference by attacking George Soros: "Get out of country, George Soros!"
Now Lin Wood saw a guy wearing a coonskin cap in the crowd. Wood picked it up and waved it, to the crowd's great delight.
Lin Wood tells a raucous crowd to sit out the Georgia Senate races until David Perdue and Kelly Loeffler back up Trump's effort to overturn the vote: "Why would you go back and vote in another rigged election?"

I'm reading Sidney Powell's much-hyped "kraken" legal filing. So far, she misspells her key expert's name twice — his name is William Briggs, she calls him "Williams Briggs" and "William Higgs."
These are the first lines of Sidney Powell's "kraken" lawsuit that Trump supporters have been claiming would save his presidency, not looking great. The rest is just rehashed witness affidavits, including one that claims the ballot paper was suspiciously clean.
A key part of Sidney Powell's Michigan kraken lawsuit relies on a guy who claims he infiltrated an antifa conference call about rigging the election. Sounds believable!

Thousands of Trump supporters are here in DC for the “Million MAGA March.” So far I’ve seen plenty of Proud Boys, QAnon supporters, and admiring references to Kyle Rittenhouse.
The Million MAGA March speakers got a little boring, so Alex Jones and a phalanx of Proud Boys kicked off the march to the Supreme Court early.
Lots of signs and shirts at the Trump march calling for Fauci’s arrest

Exclusive: A clandestine network of organized QAnon believers has inspired child abductions and other crimes across the country. thedailybeast.com/qanon-promotes…
I've worked on uncovering this QAnon network for months, because I think we're entering a dangerous new phase of QAnon. In the past, QAnon crimes were committed by lone wolves. Now they're becoming more organized, and more effective. thedailybeast.com/qanon-promotes…
This QAnon network involves three groups: the Children's Crusade, a group that has sheltered QAnon fugitives and was inspired by a fugitive Canadian QAnoner named Agent Margaritaville.

Trump and his allies have embraced @stella_immanuel, a doctor with a viral video saying masks aren't needed. But Immanuel has also claimed that some medical issues are caused by sex with demons and witches, and that alien DNA is used in medical treatment. thedailybeast.com/stella-immanue…
Dr. Immanuel's claim that hydroxychloroquine works against coronavirus has gone viral on the right. But Trump supporters haven't noticed so far that Immanuel also believes that some gynecological problems are caused by demonic sperm. thedailybeast.com/stella-immanue…
Pro-HCQ doctor @stella_immanuel has also claimed that witches are using everything from "That's So Raven" and "The Wizards of Waverly Place" to toys to push witchcraft. She also believes the Magic 8-Ball "was a psychic." thedailybeast.com/stella-immanue…
