3/5 But beneath the surface, Rome was characterized by political corruption, financial scandal, legal farce, and warmongering, which led to a loss of public trust. Rome was not conquered from without by a foreign power, but from within by the moral corruption of its own leaders.
4/5 According to Revelation, America is the world’s new Rome and will experience a similar downfall. Operating by deceit and violence, the nation will implode under the weight of its deceit and violence. Eventually, only two classes will exist: those who love and those who hate.
5/5 By infinite contrast to the “dragon” is the “lamb,” which is the key idea of Revelation. While dragonish deception and violence escalate, there will be a people who "follow the Lamb” by loving like He loved when He gave His life for His enemies. In the end, love will prevail.
