Today was the 1 year anniversary of our Nusayba being cancer free. She had stage 4 liver cancer. She needed a full liver transplant. An anonymous donor at the time, @ShawnZed, stepped up to donate a piece of his liver. She's now 4, eating her Cinnabon & full of sass. God is good.
Please consider being a liver donor. The liver grows back, & you will save a life. Also, please donate to funding ATRT research at Dana Farber, the rare cancer @KFILE's beloved Baby Francesca had. Ever little kindness goes a long way. profile.wintercycle.org/DP0276 2/

Every day Sarah & I look at our Nusayba & can't believe she's alive. The last 2 years have been exhausting, but we are grateful. Every day is a gift. We take none of it for granted. Hug & love your kids. Cancer is the worst. May we find a cure & may all Americans have health care

You know how I know every Trump enabler will fail up?

Chris Christie has a 6 figure contract at @ABC News as a contributor. Spicer and Lewandowski were given fellowships at Harvard. Spicer also got 6 figures to appear on Dancing with the Stars.

They'll all be just fine.
.@SarahHuckabee whose job was to lie to the press and promote dangerous conspiracy theories got $$$ and a book deal from St Martin's Press, part of MacMillan, one of the "Big 5" Publishers. So much for avoiding the "the liberal media." Her book came out in September by the way.

Joe and Mika opened the doors for Trump. Literally. I want personalities and media channels to really hold themselves responsible for mainstreaming Trump for ratings and access and profit. It'll never happen but we have to learn and evolve so this doesn't happen again.
You can do down the line & see where major corporate media channels, papers and several influential journalists just straight up failed. Where they openly admitted Trump was great for ratings even as he proposed a Wall, a Muslim Ban & incited racial hatred & assaulted the media.
- CNN reporter telling me Trump was great for air time.
- WH reporter lamenting Biden won bc he doesn't have as good of "access."
- Spicer having the time of his life at party for journalists in DC before the WH Corresp Dinner
- CBS Moonvess saying he's great for ratings. Etc

People in media who warned about Trump's racism & authoritarianism: @sarahkendzior, @jasonintrator, @TimothyDSnyder, @JYSexton, @mehdirhasan, @juliaioffe, @Maria_Hinojosa, @julito77, @ruthbenghiat, @djrothkopf, @mashagessen, most Black journalists, me & we were called hysterical.
I say this because the folks who called us hysterical and reactionary will continue setting the agenda and commentary for the next 4 years. Usually wrong, usually a step behind, unable and incapable of keeping a finger on the pulse of the country.
There were many others, but pardon me I ran out of space. Please give them a shout out below. It's important people acknowledge the folks who called it and tried to warn. You should listen to them, read their works, and buy their books to understand the country.

The pandemic has exposed our country and ourselves. I have permanently lost respect for many friends who have revealed themselves to be selfish, reckless and inconsiderate.
On the flip side, my respect for others has only increased, especially front line health care professionals and workers and fellow Americans who wear masks and stay at home just to protect their communities. My kids make me proud. They get all of it and wear masks. Ages 6 and 4.
The reason why I don't mind being judgemental and preachy on this issue is that we have a 4-year-old immuno-compromised daughter who survived Stage 4 cancer. We've been wearing masks and distancing since March. My parents haven't seen her or their newest granddaughter yet.
