It really hasn't sunk in that Trump's mob was coming to kill *Congress.*

I'm pretty sure there are Republicans who are brushing this off because they're convinced this was no threat to their own lives.

These people are incredibly stupid.
They're still convinced they can somehow harness a voter base that has become little more than a cult devoted to one man. They think one of them will be the heir to Trump.

Incredibly stupid.
That occured to me, too. The MAGA idiots might know Pelosi or McConnell, maybe Cruz ... but they couldn't pick any other member of Congress out of a lineup if you paid them.
That mob is their base.

They literally cannot win elections without them. They represent easily half of active Republican voters.

They're riding the tiger.
They turned up for the Presidential race in Georgia, but less of them showed up for the Georgia runoffs.

Dems won those races by what, a single percentage point? 20,000 votes?

That's why their willing to court the madmen would would kill them as soon as vote for them.
AOC is a person of color.

These are the "all y'all (people) look alike" brigade.

I think she'd have good odds.
Pretty much. And the most active, engaged voters on the right are the people who've completely lost their minds.

Their only path to power is by placating madness.

Someone go call Tony Stark for him, the poor dear.
The fact Milo has never once had a single moment of self-reflection or inclination to change his ways is why you don't go out of your way to "save" the cultists.

They don't want it.
Milo honestly could have built a redemption narrative.

Really! Apologies. Repentance. A book of self-reflection.

Even without being sincere he could have rebuilt a reputation off the back of the disgraced one and returned to making bank.

And he just couldn't do it.

Gab is so low rent - they had to rebuild using *Mastodon,* FFS - that it'll be amazing if the big names that the Mercer-funded Parler was able to draw even figure out how to sign up for it.
Gab was already kicked out of both app stores after the Christchurch massacre, so in order to function they rebuilt their system on the back of Mastodon (open source social media) and it only works via web browser.

And if that made your head hurt, that's why it's DOA.
There are some apps made to access Mastodon networks that have been tailored to work with Gab, but my god are they crappy.

And there are just as many fake Gab apps trying to fool people into installing malware.

Why?

Shit, just split the Dem caucus into the Centrist and Left parts, and boom. Opposition party without the Nazis.
"Who wants medicare for all and to forgive student debt? Okay, you line up over here. Who wants to be a cockmuscle? Cool, you're on this side ..."
Not for nothing but when one party leads an insurrection on one of the governing bodies and puts the members in mortal danger, usually countries disband and outlaw that party.

The admin would rather remove Adira's gender identification entirely than acknowledge the character is non-binary.

One thing I've seen on the left side on things on Twitter is a lot of you are just as susceptible to accepting unsubstantiated rumor as fact.

Thousands of you keep repeating that "dude tazed himself in the balls until he had a heart attack" thing and it has zero substantiation.
Not one article, not one report, nothing.

Nothing but people spouting off on Twitter and accepting it as fact.

He died. He had a heart attack.

But you folks latched onto that "tazed in the balls" thing as if it was a fact, too.

No reputable outlet has reported this.
In fact, no one has even substantiated a tazer was in any way shape or form the cause of his heart attack.

How could they? There wasn't even an autopsy yet!

You wanted it to be true, so you decided it was true.

You gotta not do that, it's bad for you.

But for one, I really doubt we're gonna see the Mercers or the Murdochs or the MyFuckPillow guy step in here.
For one, there are dozens of them. Potentially hundreds, but at the moment likely dozens.

These insurrectionists don't work like BLM. They're not used to organizing lawyers and bail for hundreds of incarcerated activists and protestors.

They never expected arrests.
Usually these groups are reactionaries at protests. If they become involved it's to defend individuals like police accused of shootings or idiots like Kyle Rittenhouse.

They go for martyrs. That's the tactic they're familiar with.
