Are any of Matt Stoller's progressive allies calling him out on his longstanding promotion and apologetics on behalf of leading fascist enabler Josh Hawley? Is he being called upon to engage in any critical self-reflection about this?
Stoller's affiliation with Hawley has not been incidental, but rather based on deep common commitments around a reactionary critique of corporate power, twisted by antisemitic undertones and belligerent Sinophobia. Stoller has excused the former and embraced the latter
No, I don't think Stoller is himself antisemitic or fascist. But Hawley is both, and Stoller has defended him from criticism on both those points, and that ought to be a problem for him
