I'm not an elected official. I'm not a Republican. I'm going to say what elected Republicans should say. If you're an elected Republican, please feel free to just copy this and paste it in from your own account. I just need you also to mean it.

/10:
/10 This past November 3rd, and in the weeks leading up to it, Americans participated in a fair, free, and successful election, as we do every year in some parts and every four years for the office of President.
/10 I congratulate the victors, Joseph R. Biden, Jr., and Kamala Harris, and wish them the best successes and luck for the duration of their term. The country will prevail as we unite behind you.
/10 Last Wednesday, our Capitol, the home of and shrine to democracy, was invaded by right-wing domestic terrorists, placing nearly every single elected member of Congress, both in the House and the Senate, and our outgoing Vice President, in mortal danger.
/10 This is an affront to what every American should hold dear, and I condemn it with all my strength. Too much participation in this assault was fueled by white supremacist ideologies.
/10 Any who believe our nation is not made greater with the input of every American - no matter their skin color, culture, or heritage - denies the truth of America itself. There is nothing patriotic or American about racism. We will repeat this class until we learn this lesson.
/10 I urge my supporters, and the rest of my constituents, to refuse to take part in any upcoming planned demonstrations at the Capitol Building in Washington, D.C., as well as state capitols nationwide. Violent right-wing domestic terrorists have announced their intent.
/10 In order to guarantee that our nearly two hundred and fifty years of successfully holding together a democratic republic, as fragile as it can be, we must demand direct and personal accountability from those involved in the insurrection on January 6th.
/10 The people require full investigations into every participant, even if a participant is an elected official. In this nation, no oath is more important than the oath of office: to support and defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic.
/10 Whosoever should break that oath no longer should be accepted with its responsibility. No matter what office you hold, you are not above the law. To act otherwise is to break your oath.
