IMPORTANT ACCOMMODATION UPDATE: A 100% rent rebate has been confirmed for students in University-owned and nominated partner student accommodation 👇
This covers an initial period from 11 January to 12 February 2021, for those students who have been asked by Government not to
return to campus and are therefore not using their rooms. Those on the Meal Plan will also not be charged for the food element of their rent during this period.
The rebate period has been aligned with the current Government guidance in relation to travel restrictions and national lockdown. This remains a fast-moving situation and so, when guidance is updated, and in advance of 12 February, the position will be reviewed and shared.
An email is being sent to all students affected, with details on how to claim a rebate. Any students who have rented accommodation privately and who face hardship through lost opportunities for part-time work, changes in family circumstances or who have incurred additional costs
as a result of the pandemic are encouraged to apply to our enhanced hardship fund.
The Student Support Fund is open to all students experiencing genuine financial difficulties.
