Republicans are complaining about the magnetometers — Rodney Davis calls it “bullshit” and tells Hoyer that they’re “taking valuable resources completely away from where it needs to be without any consultation.”
normally lawmakers are exempt from the usual magnetometers on Capitol Hill, and now they have to get through one every time they vote.
“Where can I sign up for Clear?” one lawmaker jokes. (It’s very strange to see lawmakers — including Hoyer and Clyburn — get stopped and wanded outside the chamber).
the fact that @erinschaff experienced THIS and still filed photos and wrote about makes me want to cry all over again because she is such a pro and was just doing her damn job in THE NATION’S CAPITOL.

“Mr. Biden’s victory amounted to a repudiation of Mr. Trump by millions of voters exhausted with his divisive conduct and chaotic administration, and was delivered by an unlikely alliance of women, people of color, old and young voters and a sliver of disaffected Republicans.”
“The result also provided a history-making moment for Mr. Biden’s running mate, Senator Kamala Harris of California, who will become the first woman to serve as vice president.” nytimes.com/2020/11/07/us/…
