Came across this WW II Cemetary at a place called Jairampur. More than a 1000 graves were discovered and on investigation it came to light that these are the graves of soldiers ( Indian, British, Kachin, American and African), who died during construction of the...
.. Stilwell Road from India to Burma for sustaining the Allied Forces. Most deaths were due to malaria, dysentery, weather, snake bites and accidents. Very few from bullets. This road was also called the 'man-a-mile' Road due to the high number of casualties.
The Cemetary is spread over 3 acres & the graves are laid out in 5 columns & several rows all around. It was found in the 90s in a dilapidated state. Elephants & grave robbers had done the damage. Gen JJ Singh as Governor, got the Cemetary restored. Now again in poor state. 😞
There is even the grave of a Chinese soldier who apparently died in a jeep accident and is buried here along with his jeep. Bricks with brand names Ledo AR& T Co, Brick fields, B&C 119 and IRN C9 were found to have been used.
As can be seen, its in a poor and unmaintained state. There is a museum on site but there was no one to open it for us to see. I request the Honorable @ArunachalCMO and @BrigMishra, honorable Governor to please restore this Cemetary. Its the least we can do for the fallen. 🙏🏽

Morning excitement.
A barn owl being chased by crows flew into our kitchen over wife's head as she stood at the door. She quickly shut the door to protect it. Spoke to bird enthusiast friends. They advised to let it be there till late evening and then let it out. 1/2
It initially sat in a corner on the floor. Then flew up to the cabinet, where it has tucked itself into a corner and is now fast asleep. 🦉
Any advise any experts?

One told us that barn owl is "vahan" of Lakshmiji. So if her vahan is here can Lakshmiji be far behind? 🕉 🙏🏽 😊
I wish we could tell Barney what a celebrity he's become with so many people wanting updates on him and his eventual release this evening. 😃
The neighbours 6 year old just came and clicked some pics and got his own clicked too. 😊
