I'm sure that many of you have received this picture on various social media platforms. This is not a picture of the vaccine. I repeat, this is not a picture of the vaccine.

This is a picture of Remdesivir, an antiviral drug. It does not prevent infection, it is part of the medicines used to help recovery from viruses such as SARS-COV2 which causes covid. THEY ARE NOT THE SAME THING.

Now, as to why it is being distributed in some countries and not others. Pharmaceutical companies must have licences to distribute their drugs in countries (see below). Without those licences, the drugs cannot be imported and used. So the company that made that particular brand

Of Remdesivir does not have the licence required to distribute in the US, EU and UK. This does not mean that they are experimenting on anyone. (please note, this does not speak to quality or safety of drugs). This is likely because these countries have companies that produce

Remdesivir for the local population and the local regulatory authority did not see the justification of importing more.

Please wait for the vaccine to land, do your due diligence, speak to medical professionals and vaccinologists before reaching a conclusion.
