This is tragically funny, but there's a broader point here

People who call this an insurrection aren't paying attention, the perpetrators are simply handing evidence of their crimes over to the FBI out of public-spiritedness!
Antifa: "Journalists aren't allowed at our events, they lead to our members being arrested."

StopTheStealers: "Hi there nice FBI lady, why yes, I'd be perfectly happy to give you my video of our riot!"
Also, ffs, if you attended the #StopTheSteal protest and the FBI comes knocking DO NOT SPEAK TO THEM WITHOUT A LAWYER PRESENT no matter how "nice" they are being
Another point - this is why the Right needs to have a different strategy than the left

We can't do the "low-level lawlessness to trigger an overbearing law enforcement response" strategy that is Antifa's bread and butter

Because our people are basically good citizens!

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but Trump is just not right about Pence's legal authority

He can't just send envelopes back
More robust explanation here:…

We're in the middle of a global pandemic!
"Broad-based emergency aid in the face of a massively disruptive contagious disease is really just instant gratification"
You know when it's rational to take one marshmallow today instead of two in a week?

When you're starving

So this #PenceCard nonsense looks like it was started by @Raiklin with this tweet

The argument seems to be that Pence could have decided that electors from certain states were "impermissible" because he "is the sole plenary power" to determine that

Further, the argument goes, that under his authority to demand that states send him a list of electors if they have failed to do so, Pence could reject the list of electors as "impermissible" and demand that they send him a correct list
The only statutory authority cited by Raiklin is 3 USC 12

All it does is give Pence the authority to demand a state send him a certificate of electoral votes if they have not done so

Few people have done more damage to the Republic than Marc Elias

Weakening election integrity measures in such a polarized political climate was - and should have been seen as - clearly immoral
Almost every other first-world country runs their elections in a manner where their integrity is beyond question

We could do that and we do not
Not to mention that Elias was the guy who hired Christopher Steele

He spent three years spreading misinformation to delegitimize the 2016 election results, and then one more to undermine confidence in the 2020 election

People who are hating on Bill Barr should head over to liberal Twitter and see what they think of the man
Within the constraints of his position and the longstanding policies of the department he runs, Barr has done a ton of good for Trump personally and for the conservative cause more broadly
Barr doesn't run a star chamber, he can't just snap his fingers and jail people

He's also not a magician, he can't simply wave his hand and overturn the election results

He's de-politicized DOJ, which is what was badly needed
