Amid the backlash faced over its new policy, #WhatsApp has postponed the latest #PrivacyPolicy change.
“We’ve heard from so many people how much confusion there is around our recent update. This update does not expand our ability to share data with Facebook,” said #WhatsApp 's blogpost.
In a tweet, WhatsApp has further clarified that no accounts would be suspended or deleted on February 8, and it would be extending the business plans until after May 15.
Further on the privacy concerns, WhatsApp said that it can’t see private messages or hear calls and neither can Facebook, along with that the location data and messages contents is end-to-end encrypted.
The WhatsApp company said that this decision was based on the observation that there was ‘a lot of misinformation causing concern’ and is intended to help everyone understand the company’s principal and facts.
