NM County Commissioner Couy Griffen, founder of “Cowboys for Trump,” was arrested today in D.C. in connection the U.S. Capitol siege of Jan. 6.

Griffen said in a since-removed Facebook video "there’s gonna be blood running out of" the Capitol if they return, per court docs.
"[A]t the end of the day, you mark my word, we will plant our flag on the desk of Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer and Donald J. Trump if it boils down to it."

The video transcript's excerpt, per court docs.

He also threatened: "There will never be a Biden presidency,” per docs.

"During his subsequent interview, a reporter asks [Griffin] [...] whether he was afraid that additional people could die. S1 responded: 'I am more afraid of losing my freedom than anything.'"

— the now-arrested Commissioner of Otero County, N.M.

Brendan Hunt, calling himself "X-Ray Ultra" and seen spouting white-supremacist slogans, has been charged with threatening to kill U.S. officials.

This is one of his chilling messages.

Story, @lawcrimenews. lawandcrime.com/u-s-capitol-si… Image
Prosecutors also quoted from an 88-second video rant titled "KILL YOUR SENATORS" posted two days after the U.S. Capitol siege.

He allegedly spouted the white-supremacist slogan "ZOG" after a barrage of threats.

Complaint in the story at the top of the thread. Image
"ZOG" is short for the white supremacist conspiracy theory of a "Zionist Occupied Government," and "88"—the length of the video—is neo-Nazi code for "Heil Hitler," after the eighth letter of the alphabet.

A prosecutor warned at a hearing today that Larry Brock, seen below holding tactical restraints, intended “to take hostages.”

U.S. Magistrate Judge Jeffrey Cureton released him to home confinement anyway, at a hearing without remote access to the press. apnews.com/article/capito…
The story above is by an AP reporter in the courtroom, and Brock’s release is also reflected in the docket.
This is the order allowing Brock's release. courtlistener.com/recap/gov.usco…

Court proceedings are about to begin for Cleveland Grover Meredith, Jr., whom prosecutors say texted "War time" on the day of the insurrection after receiving a message "Pence blew it."

I'll cover it live, @lawcrimenews.

Previously, via @AlbertoLuperon lawandcrime.com/2020-election/…
This is what prosecutors say authorities found in Meredith's vehicle at the time of his arrest, in a brief seeking his continued pre-trial lockup. Image
There is a delay in the proceedings owing to the defendant to participate in the hearing from jail.

Stand by.

The man who brought the Confederate flag to the Capitol siege and his son face federal charges.

Kevin Seefried told agents his son Hunter was asked to clear the broken window, where they entered, because Hunter was wearing gloves, feds say.

Story soon by @AlbertoLuperon
Though their criminal complaint charges two charges, the DOJ press release announcing Seefried's arrest details three.

The statement of facts alleges probable cause for more.

Given the varying charges, I deleted a prior tweet saying there were two pending further clarification.
Reminder:

The USAO of D.C. made clear at a recent press conference that more serious charges often follow the initial counts.
