For the time I spent on TV, I watched NBS mainly to see what the state wanted us to hear and I watched NTV hoping to get the other side of the story. I wasn't surprised by what NBS TV did but here a few things that may be easily forgotten.

1.While NTV's Andrew Kyamagero was accreditated to update the nation with "live" tallies, the accredited UBCLite reporter was Sheila Tusiime. Dressed in yellow she said she was very excited to be reporting "live" from the National tally center. But what did Sheila report about?

Sheila spent the entire time given to her on the final day to praise the EC for ensuring strict adherence to covid SOPs. Sheila then went on to say the election was very peaceful & that there was no anxiety expressed on social media platforms. Sheila did not report any result

3. Canary: I could detect the hollow ring of fundamental nothingness when the guy took us on a video tour of their "command center". Going downstairs, he moved us from desk to desk & the staff he asked to tell us what was going on "were waiting for phone calls". Again, nothing

4. Impervious to the lessons of experience, Mildred T, who in 2016 was the conduit of bogus tallies once again coordinated the broadcast of questionable tallies. From what I see, they don't care about integrity. These journalists appear to have nothing to lose.

5. As for NTV, I already pointed out ur shortcomings but here are quick ones
Why did ur "accredited" journalist say that the system is working when he could neither articulate how the results are input into the system nor explain how it is verified? How self-defeating is that?

6. So NTV, I was exasperated by what seemed a willful pretense of ignorance. You refused to ask the right questions. I was exquisitely stung by the thought of betrayal by a media house I'd rated far above NBS. At some point a UTL Telephone line was opened for comments & questions

7. On 16th Jan in the morning, Flavia invited call-ins on 0414563462. I called 9 times but the line was kept busy, but somehow a guy with a characteristic accent & arrogance called on a very clear line and warned callers against disputing the results, then NTV closed the line.

8/8. And once again, the media houses barricaded the road to the truth.
People are quiet but it's often said that still waters run deep.
The Doubtful authenticity of the tally process implied that what the EC was announcing was and remains downright nonsense to this day.

After posting this thread, i got a detailed anonymous narrative from an insider at NBS on what transpired on that day and I will drop another thread later today. The truth is out there
