BREAKING: There is effort underway right now to get these guardmen back into the congressional visitors center, reports @krisvancleave. It’s unclear whether the order will be given tonight to move them inside.

GRAPHIC: Video, posted more than an hour ago, shows a police vehicle rolling over someone in Tacoma, WA at 9th Avenue & Pacific. Another video I’ve seen, purported to be from the same scene, shows someone yelling they’re hitting a police car.
This is another video with a different angle of the incident which happened in downtown Tacoma - that is 34 miles southwest of Seattle
Most of the week (including on Inauguration Day) there have been violent protests, with rioters vandalizing businesses. usatoday.com/story/news/nat…

Report: Under the previous secretary of corrections in Puerto Rico, inmates were not provided surgical masks, nor was anyone allowed to deliver them masks, reports @riverasaniel. He quotes the incoming secretary of corrections, under new Governor @pedropierluisi, as saying that.
The inmates are going to be given surgical masks, according to the incoming secretary of corrections.
Inmates were given cloth masks but not the disposable masks. The incoming secretary has said she will provide disposable masks which are better, in terms of protection, especially for inmates who are within closed environments, constantly.

Larry was the King of asking short, soulful questions.
Growing up as a kid, Larry King Live was appointment viewing for me. Getting the chance to work around him was a highlight of my life. ImageImageImageImage
He was game for just about anything, but not everything. His impatience meant interviews were never boring.
Even into his 80s, he was competitive & inquisitive. He and I were having a conversation one day about people he’d love to meet. Best I recall, there was no one.
That’s because he had met, and or interviewed them. I told him I had a dream of meeting @DrMayaAngelou. He said, “you want to meet Maya?” He then reached into his pocket and pulled out his flip phone and dialed someone.

While grieving the loss of Peter "David" Guarisco III due to COVID-19, a Louisiana family says they were mocked at Martin & Castille funeral home for asking funeral home officials to tell others to wear a mask, as @LouisianaGov has ordered.

Tonight, I heard from a woman who says she left this same funeral home because she was “disgusted” by the lack of mask wearing/enforcement.

Based on new rules, this Republican congressman from Arizona will be fined $5000 for blowing past the metal detectors in the United States Capitol that are meant to check for weapons.

Can you imagine what would happen if you did that?
Congresswoman @laurenboebert did it too, according to @GarrettHaake
By the way, the fine will come from his/her paycheck.

A Louisiana broadcasting legend has died after a courageous battle with ALS. Donna Britt read a teleprompter like she was talking off the top of her head. Natural. Graceful. Personable. Charismatic. And always with a little humor. @WAFB is the powerhouse it is because of Donna.
