Full disclosure we've been having some performance issues on the platform. Team member made a suggestion that appeared on my Attention page.
So I responded in-place and created the page as I typed with [[Website issues]]
(note notification back and date so it appears as something new on Daily Notes)
I know there's an issues page ready for me. First thing I want is a template for creating new issues. So I go to [[Roam Templates]] which contains our SmartBlocks
Our dev team often ask for specific details so I add them as attributes so I can pull them out as tables later. Add #[[Needs work]] so it can fit into our kanban flow later and new tag #[[Performance Issue] in case of future queries.
Explain the new page
Yep smartblock works, it asks for each attribute as it creates the block (top of image)
First issue in
List might get hard to read so create a table of all issues with {{attr-table:: [[Performance Issues]]}}
(Note it includes the SmartBlock definition)
Daily notes reports that this new workflow was created. Note I get the _reason_ for its creation for free. The idea, motivation, date, etc are in the request.
So is the first issue, it's been matched because SmartBlock adds the date automatically
The block reference in Coco's request is a link to the call with a customer who had this problem and was written as the call was happening.
This last fact is the secret in my mind. Different parts of the company communicating and automatically building up a coherent knowledge base as we do our day to day work.
If you want more I write a newsletter about team Roams on roamforteamwork.com
