LEGO build live tweeting session 2 begins.
Proper interim bag disposal technique. Not everyone agrees with this method. It’s not easy being the sole voice of reason at times.
Too many like-colored parts so a bit of separation seems warranted.
I’m *guessing* these will be dampers and so I fiddled with them a bit until they all operated freely by gravity. A few were initially reluctant.

This thing is not just a battery compartment. There’s some Bluetooth angle to it. Makes sense.
CLK, VCC, DAT ... oh my! Yup definitely not just a battery holder.
Installed the Powered Up app, after a brief confused tangent installing the digital assembly manual (which is useful too but not what’s needed here). We have Bluetoothing!
Success! Of course it really doesn’t do much of anything yet but at least it’s something. Now it’s really time for a more-deserved lunch break.
