Founders need better tools for managing board meetings. At @Quaestortech, we've partnered with three incredible investor/operators — @JTLonsdale, @DavidSacks, @nabeel — to demystify the board deck:
When we founded Quaestor, we used a classic startup "stack" (@GustoHQ, @SlackHQ, @NotionHQ) — standard tools recommended by our peers. But after talking to hundreds of startup founders, we realized that nobody has created a standard for investor relations. quaestor.substack.com/p/broken-inves…
At Quaestor, we believe that investor relations are a two-way street: companies share information with their investors, and investors provide help, insights, and guidance. But board meetings in particular are an obvious mismatch of knowledge.
Investors have 100s of board meetings under their belt, while founders often don't understand what's expected of them and how they can best use the time together. Even experienced founders we spoke to were interested in learning about different styles for board management.
So we went and interviewed two of our investors, @JTLonsdale and @Nabeel, as well as the legendary @DavidSacks, to get their take on how successful board meetings run. They each have their own flavor. quaestor.com/board-deck-tem…
We're just getting started and hope that what we're sharing today will demystify the board meeting and speed up founders building the world-changing companies of tomorrow.
