Right now, they are debating whether Riley June Williams should have a carve-out for using internet for seeking employment.

Prosecutor: The government's position is not to let her seek employment online because that will give her an opening for engaging in the same conduct.

A hearing is ongoing in the case of Riley June Williams, a 22-year-old is accused of stealing a laptop from Speaker Pelosi's office.

She was recently released to her mother's custody, pending trial.

Background, via @AlbertoLuperon: lawandcrime.com/u-s-capitol-si…
Prosecutors want to take away her computer and connection to the internet, enforced by the ability to search her home, car and work place.

The govt claims she may have tried to destroy evidence and encourage others to do that too.
Judge Zia Faruqui notes that Riley's accused of "extremely troubling" conduct, wondering why they aren't asking for detention.

Defense needs to reschedule, before prosecutors explain more about their allegations.

There is little public information about Jeffrey Sabol's Capitol siege case at this point, but a federal magistrate just said in an ongoing hearing he is charged under this statute.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Benjamin Gianforti seeks Sabol's detention on the grounds of danger to the community and risk flight.

"This defendant took part in that violence, and unfortunately for the defendant, this was a case when the defendant was caught on video."
Gianforte says that in the video you can see the defendant in a brown Carhartt jacket in a "fit of rage."
