1/ Process mining by extracting knowledge from event logs combined with direct access to SAP's LLVM SQL optimization layer. Provides the readily available analytical discipline to move away from indirect-access to usage-based applications for the cloud era. #ensw#nextgen
3/ Smart Contracts with React (how to be the coolest kid on the block). Is another way for SAP to digitize itself gist.github.com/danazkari/bc53…
4/ Ever since Windows Vista came undone trying to fit 'Project Green' into Longhorn for nextgen ERP (Dynamics). Internal architecture for complex enterprise apps has been put on the backburner. And profits have leached away to other app platforms w/ growth. e.g. Salesforce, AWS
5/ This came to a head when the High Court ruled for SAP, against Diageo in an indirect licensing case. De jure a pyrrhic victory (@dahowlett has been relentless covering and supportive coaxing a solution). De facto cloud data integration needs a different solution.
6/ Complex app systems found in SAP and ERP consist of deeply nested subsystems, with degrees of separation and integration between subsystems in multi-vendor cloud. Begs a new means of analytic measuring for usage-based payments (former SAP CTP @sagassi predicted such).
7/ Creating impetus. AWS invented EC2 for elastic computing pulling data loads and revenue into the cloud. Gavin Wood had invented Solidity and wrote the Yellow Paper specifying the Ethereum VM. Tooling to digitize assets from event-sourcing data and deal with usage payments.
8/ In this overlooked area of usage payments we can expect a raft of opportunities. Many will miss grokking that remaking internal architecture for the cloud era isn't the Kobayashi Maru, it may make you an 'enterprise starship'. / @jtaschek@MikeDoesBigData@holgermu@stevesi
@Ronald_Voets Till y2k ERP boomed on solving shortages. After y2k profits moved to online social networks who scaled out in NoSQL databases to create certainty of demand from abundant supplies. Covid-19 has disrupted and flipped this, creating certainty of supply is the new business objective.
@Ronald_Voets@ChrstnKlein The ERP industry has to let go of relationships in the database for relationships in the data to optimize for machine learning in SaaS. Will make a world of difference to deliver customizations and integrations in the cloud.
