I’m starting a thread of random items that have made going back to work during Rona “easier”. I went back to work in July 2020 & have learned lots since then. Pls add anything that has helped you or cd help others.
Wearing a face mask and shield for 12 hours will leave you dehydrated. If you’re like me, you wake up the next day feeling hungover. No matter how much water you drank the day before. So every night after work, I drink a big tumbler of water w Nuum (electrolytes). Huge help Image
Another tip (and then let me run to work). I pride myself - used to - on my complexion. Masks, especially surgical, leave bruises around my mouth. Rose Hip Oil every night (bath in it) has reduced the bruises significantly. Image
My thread on face shields. Current winner for me & other BTL on current show is NoCry altho I’m looking for alternative shield to wear w hats. Specifically fedoras. I’m not allowed to wear the shield that braces on your neck + not a fan of clipping onto the hat & ruining brim
Not to purchase but something to learn is ASL. BTL all learned sign lang per their dept growing up. At least I did (raise the light. Put in a single etc) Learning ASL & teaching it to my PA is a game changer. (Old thread) Whatever I learned was from here handspeak.com
Back to shields - I’m in rainy season in LA. I need to find out how people wear shields in the rain and not get frustrated.
We’re now required to wear KN95s. Prod provides them & I’m also buying my own. Like everything else, compliance 1st, comfort 2nd. All masks fit you differently. I have a tiny nose & most masks aren’t snug. My Dir rec’d these & they’re the best fit for me. bravenewlook.com/products/kn95-…
