At Dodger’s Stadium this afternoon, police temporarily stopped vaccinations in response to around 40 anti-vaccine protesters at the entrance.
The line stretched back further than I could see.
The anti-vaxxers tried handing out flyers to people in line.
A man who says he came from far away expresses frustration with LAPD for closing the gate. “They follow the line, they do everything right, but because a group of people don’t want to do it, you just stop.”
A protester tells the man to educate himself. He says he did and he still wants the vaccine. He says that they are indirectly stopping him from getting it.
The apparent organizer of the event repeatedly brought up Bill Gates, describing him as “a satanic pedophile eugenicist.”
Another woman tells a car of people in line, “Have fun being a byproduct of Bill Gates.”
On their way to the entrance, a man in a top hat sang, “You can stick your new world order up your ass,” and then howled.
Additional LAPD officers arrived after a while, but they did not engage much with the protesters.
LAPD eventually opened the gates back up and the protesters left. Unclear if LAPD requested they do so. The organizer thanks LAPD, who wave back to him.
LAPD tweeted that they did not shut the gates at Dodgers’ Stadium. It appears that LA Fire Department may have closed the gates, but when asked who was in charge, an LAPD officer said, “I’m in charge, so right now [the gate is] going to stay closed until I get further info.”

It felt as if LAPD was caught off guard by the protesters. The event was promoted on public social media accounts in the days leading up to today.
