The 360 version of GoldenEye is "out" controls are much improved over the original, with dual analogue aiming. I had a blast through the game on Agent difficulty, I'll try and complete the harder difficulties at a later tade.
DAM: Lots of detail added. The level has mountains with trees and a beautiful sky. Lots of snow and ice on the ground as well. It's an impressive first look.

The dam area itself has similar improvements .Nice snow along the road, and a new shore for the reservoir
FACILITY: Not a lot of stuff to note. Dr Doak has been replaced (David Doak didn't work on the remake), and it just looks nicer all round. Here's me shooting off the hat of the bathroom guard:
RUNWAY: A lack of fog means you can see all the way down the runway. Other improvements are similar to the Dam, with better mountains and trees. The plane has more detail to it as well.
Biggest change is the end of the runway. Instead of having a massive cliff that looks like it's 1m in front of the edge, there's now a stunning view with a bit of mountain going down, with the mountains looking like they're in the distance.
SURFACE: Possibly the level that looks the most different. The 2D treeline has been replaced by a fence with trees behind that, with mountains in the distance and a lovely skybox. From the start you can even see the dish through the fence.

BUNKER: The glass orb thing at the back of the control room has a rather fancy effect on it. Seemed to be something the devs were testing as it isn't on the second bunker level.
This hammer and sickle has also been updated. More authentic design and more detail.
I also found a console that hasn't been updated alongside one which now shows the names of the people who worked on the remaster.
SILO: The indoor levels do look improved, but aren't as impressive as the outdoor ones. That said, I don't remember this happening in the original. I tried opening the door and a indicator appeared to direct me to a keycard.
FRIGATE: One of my favourite levels, and unfortunately one of the more unfinished ones. There's no water so the ship is floating in a void. There are mountains but less details than ones elsewhere. The ship itself looks good, though.
The ship has been given a name: HMS Rabbette. This is the surname of one of the people who worked on the remake.
One major difference is that the "fake doors" you can't open have been removed. One thing to note is that something is wrong with how the old version is rendered in this level and it looks worse than it originally did.
SURFACE 2: The night levels seem to have no skybox at all - not even stars. It's just pure black. It has the same changes regarding the tree line and fence, and they've made the "darkness" a similar level to the fog in the original.
The helicopter at the end has been textured, but because it is such an odd shape, it just looks a bit ridiculous.
BUNKER 2: One change you can see right at the start is that the cell doors have changed colour to make them more obvious. One other thing to note here: the Y button cycles through weapons, the B button cycles through gadgets. Makes picking the watch magnet easier.
Natalya's model has been completely redesigned. All NPCs look much better.
This monitor animation has been completely changed. New one doesn't seem to quite fit the model. Keyboard uses a surprisal common trick of having less keys. A Chris has hidden his name in the keyboard, too.
And the level itself just looks nicer all round. This room has had some slight structural changes to the higher parts.
STATUE: By far the biggest changes to a level. Lots of scenery is completely different. The level is a bit too dark but the developers have created a "path" of sort out of light to try and direct you...although it's still easy to get lost.
And some more string lights and the very different Janus statue.
ARCHIVE: This level features a lot of poster that have been replaced with things relating to the developers of this new version:
Along with these portraits dotted around the level, replacing small flyers.
The defence minister now has a uniform
The second level now has tiles instead of metal for the floor, while the window effects are still there but muted.
STREETS: Timer means no casually strolling through here. No sky again, but everything else looks better. One issue is you can't aim the tank up and down.
DEPOT: Not much to say about this one. No sky again. The lights are now 3D instead of 2D. Most graffiti is the original, while Karl's name has been replaced with a broken texture.
TRAIN: Not a lot to show, it just looks nicer. Padded texture looks more padded and the grate looks more natural.
Another note is that Bond's watch is much closer to the Omega from the film.
JUNGLE: Like Surface, the "wall of jungle" has been replaced with more scenery, although here it's just an invisible wall stopping you. Looks a lot more natural as a result.
The crashed plane has more detail. There also appears to be an untextured tree behind what once was a wall.
And here's Natalya's model for the next couple of levels.
CONTROL: A few updated details. This machinery now looks a lot like the Hoth shield generator.
Boris seems to be based on an entirely different person.
CAVERNS: A fairly boring level. The doors now have a visible seam while some areas have actual flooring instead of a cave texture.
CRADLE: Even though there's no sky, it's a massive improvement. No fog means you can see the whole structure and now you can actually see the dish of the satellite. It looks amazing.
Unfortunately, the real observatory that the one in GoldenEye was based on collapsed recently:

And that's singleplayer finished (apart from the few levels I haven't unlocked)
TEMPLE: Now the multiplayer levels. Temple has a ton of detailing added to it. It looks quite lovely.
COMPLEX: Now has trees visible outside the arena with a blue sky instead of red. Parts of the level now has patches of grass as well.
CAVES: Now easier to navigate. Beams of light also highlight weapon placements.
LIBRARY/BASEMENT/STACK: No major changes here, just looks nicer.
DAM: This wasn't in the original. The top of the dam has a lot of crates with a large stack blocking one end. The lower sections of the dam is accessible except for the computer room at the end.
FRIGATE: Still the unfinished version. The lower decks aren't accessible and for some reason the middle doors form the bridge have invisible walls.
DEPOT: The final part of the level. Some warehouses can be opened but the majority are closed.
And lastly a look at some random character models. Here's Bond, a civilian, Baron Samedi and another civilian.
Sean Bean, a guard, Xenia and Mayday.
And Jaws with Moonraker girl. Jaws seems to be too tall for these doors.
One multiplayer option is to disable character heights. So here is Jaws and Oddjob with that option:
And finally: Big Head mode (aka DK Mode):
