𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗜 𝗮𝗺 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 #𝗙𝗮𝗿𝗺𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲𝘀𝘁

● Farmers are exercising their Fundamental rights, they feel the farm bills are inappropriate and government who is to serve the people should resolve their issues. It's farmers Vs government.

● Everybody knows the Farmers are backbone of our country, we are a Krishi Pradhan Country and the farming sector need reforms but I myself think the current Farm laws were passed in a great unprecedented flurry. There are many glitches that even the center has admitted.

● The current Farm Bill is silent about 𝗠𝗦𝗣. MSP that is decided by Department of Agriculture as such a way that calculate expenditure+ a marginal profit for farmer is assured.
The Farm bill gives liberty to private buyers to by farming produces that was already existed

but they were not allowed to hoard above a certain amount. This Law gives them this luxury. They are free to trade with agricultural produce. They are allowed to even export while our countryman needs the produces better.

● The current Farm Bills should be read with 𝗘𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗼𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗰𝘁 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟬
for better understanding. In ECA2020 Cereal, Pulses, Onions, Tomatoes and many other items are removed from essential commodities list.

That simply means any Warehouse owner can hoard them with his capacity. The drawback of hoarding we often see with the price booming of onions and tomatoes.
We even while the existing restriction over hoarding facing consequences the situation would be even worse.

● In 2020 Global Hunger Index launched a list of 107 countries out of which India stands critically on 94th. It also include the hunger and malnutrition parameters. We even in the current system with 𝗔𝗣𝗠𝗖 and 𝗣𝗗𝗦 standing with it, imagine it with cunning capital mongers.

● One should have enough understanding about a business before marking himself in the market. I am not so sure who will be the new buyers ? And why would they buy at even higher price than the APMC offering the farmers. the persons (the middle man, the Dalalas will get a hold

● For a Hypothetical situation if we consider the Private firms are giving us benefits, they are giving us extra price than the Mandis, the Mandis would be institution of loss, and we better know what government does with institutions of loss.

They not even try to save the assets but divestment.
Since the private buyers have permission to hold the products they will hoard enough amount by the time that they can fill the demands for certain time now the scenario is they downs the buying price.

The farmers has no option but to get whatever they are offering. It is basically like a monopolistic market. Imagine the capital needed to own warehouses. The only problem with Farmer is he can't hold his produce because he can't maintain a warehouse.

● Since Agriculture is a geographical and climate based sector and India is a huge country, we have different type of farming in different parts.
Broadly two types Subsistence farming and commercial farming. There's huye different in both the types and the produce generated

Now why mostly Punjab and Haryana ?
Because they are the Mandi goer farmers. The based on subsistence farming. They are most affect with the laws.

● The sugarcane, cotton, cocoa, tea, rubber, jute and other commercial farming people are associated with mills or export.

We want govt's control over private organisations in welfare of farmers
● We definitely need Farm Bills, the country the Farmer needs it but not a chaotic price. The Bill must reconsidered, represented and well debated in the parliament.
