Thread
For those who are unaware. Pakistani Climber Ali Sadpara has set on a mission to climb K2 in winter, after the Nepalis who summited it for the first time in winters. After he failed to summit the notorious mountain last week...
This pushed him, his son and two other colleagues, John Snorri, a climber from Iceland and another climber from Chile, back to Basecamp, where they took shelter for a week before taking to the mountain again, 3 days ago. They had set out with clear weather and good hopes...
And Good Hopes to finish what was set out to do. Upon making it to Camp 3, they were ready for the final push, when the 20 year old son, Sajid had a malfunction in the oxygen regulator. This set him back to Camp 2, and Futher down while Ali and co, did the impossible..
Now we must take in account that, the Basecamp team communicating with Ali, didn't want to bother them, and soon the Garmin GPS had ran out of battery, which meant, as of last night communication was cut. They were supposed to summit K2, and already be at Camp 3 by now, but..

But, they have not communicated back with the team at Basecamp, and are missing. Army Helicopters have been dispatched, and it is unsure if they are still alive, sadly.
