A small thread for #Saturdaynightcoinshow .This one will be called "Silver Squeeze, Sold Out". Premiums were huge on ASEs and bullion on eBay, I couldn't touch the prices. Then I had an 💡 and it paid off.
2. Several major dealers juiced their prices on Silver Eagles and rounds but for some reason left the Commemorative dollars and half dollars at prices before the squeeze. No one was bidding on Coms but the ASEs had multiple bids as high as $47🤯
3. So in the end when silver was almost at 30 an ounce I was able to scoop up silver commemoratives below spot in gem condition. I would call this a win under these weird conditions but even at that price I normally don't buy. I like buying at $14.00. Those days are over.
4. Here are some Grey Sheet prices for sets through the years. What I had discovered that night was dealers had cracked open the Prestige sets and listed the Commemorative silver dollars.
5. For whatever reason they never changed the commemorative prices that night and everyone else overlooked them with tunnel vision locked on bullion. I bid and won with no other bids that night. I went back the next night and did it again. Night 3 no chance, it had multiple bids.
6. In my opinion ASEs and generic rounds are boring. I'm excited to see new designs. With that being said I was happy to get the Comms at spot and add character to my collection.
7.
The End.
I hope you enjoyed my Silver Squeezer thread. Hold your metals people.
1. We must first truly understand the 1960 Lincoln cent before we go down this 🐇 hole. I have chosen a 2013 Article from @CoinWorld to get us started #Saturdaynightcoinshow
2. Confused yet? Let's get to the basic coins with no varieties. Plain Jane here we go. 1960 P Large Date, 1960 P Small Date, 1960 D Large Date, 1960 D Small Date for business strike only. Then there are proofs which I will not cover today. #Saturdaynightcoinshow
Give me fuel...give me 🔥...give me nickels... All the 1958 and below I saved from box hunts a few years back. Looking for varieties then the rest will go back to the bank. Happening now...

I wanted to put some whiskey in a jar tonight but I went for the nickels instead, sad but true. This may be an RPM or mechanical doubling, too worn to tell, it is rather flat looking. #Saturdaynightcoinshow
