Still on this lateness issue on wedding day.

I recall sometime in 2013 or there about, on my way to Sango-OTa to conduct a wedding slated for 10am, I had left Abeokuta, where I was and still resident at 7am for Sango-Ota which is just about 1hr 30mins drive. At 9.30am,
I was not even near my destination. What I'm I going to do all decked up in an expensive suit, white shirt and a bow tie to match, I asked myself..."I don't arrive late for ministry assignment I said... it's still a guiding rule for me.
Without much ado, I asked my wife to get behind the wheels while I hopped on a bike. To cut the long story short, I got to the church at exactly 9.55am.

I had pastored the intending couple for about 4 years and they very well knew I was a stickler to time, particularly,
"church runs."

During counselling sessions, the intending couple had been reminded over and over again not to come late to the church on their wedding day, but alas, one of them came late. (You guessed right)

I got to the church and met the groom who was at this time on the
talking to his wife angrily.

To cut the long story short, at the strike of 10am, I gave instructions that the service should commence.

We proceeded accordingly and just at the moment I asked, "who brings in the bride?" I saw the bride running in at 10.35am into the church, wow,
that was close. I would have closed the service if she had not come in at that time.

It's so easy to run down a pastor at such a time as this without giving a holistic look at the entire incident...

I was to find out later that the bride was staying just a few minutes drive
away from church, but, alas, she chose to come in late for her wedding on her wedding day.

I made it down to the church from Abeokuta, which is almost 70km away in good time before service started.

I believe it's rather unfair to start attacking a pastor who does not believe
in what we call African time when it comes to ministry work.

In all modesty, I do not think there is any pastor alive who has invited me to minister in his church that will say I ever got in late. Sometimes, I even arrive before the host pastor arrives.

We make excuses for
anomalies in church, yet, we have forgotten that none of these ladies would arrive late at a foreign embassy if told to come for a visa interview.

I however leave room for eventualities on that day. If there is a very good reason for a delay, like unexpected traffic gridlock,
faulty car etc, you must call in...that shows honour, and in a situation where no one deems it fit to Inform the pastorate of the sudden eventualities, you are on your own.

Even when I was conducting my immediate younger sister's wedding, my parents called her into a private
room to warn her about the consequences of taking her brother (me) for granted and arriving late....she came in even before the groom at 9.20am. ( Modupe Olunuga Adeyemi , abi?)

So, let's be slow to hack on pastors when they do not follow the norm or the new normal.
When a wedding is slated for 10am, plan and get there early. If there are issues on the way, call in and get the officiating pastor's attention. It's the most HONOURABLE thing to do. Selah

#We've said it before, and we will keep saying it. There is so much ineptitude, cluelessness and corruption going on underground

Are we now, not justified when we say this Government is inept and putting up a show when it comes to supporting Agriculture or any other sector of Image
the economy for that matter?

Watching Aljazeera a few minutes ago, the Nigerian Govt was seen and heard threatening to sue rice farmers who RECEIVED, yes, RECEIVED supposed "loans" from them.

A few farmers interviewed claimed they never asked for any loan and that Government
officials just gave them money and no one intimated them that it was a loan. They charged the government to produce documents showing they requested for and obtained any loan. (Who does that?-Nigerian Govt)

One of the rice farmers even said, "since Government officials and

*Isaiah 51:2b MSG*
... *but once I blessed him, he multiplied.*

This was the Lord talking about Abraham & Sarah.

*Note* -👇🏼
He said, "but once I blessed him, he multiplied".

*This is very profound.* 👇🏼
God's blessing, provokes multiplication.
We see the same sequence in👇🏼
*Matthew 14:19-20 KJV*
And he commanded the multitude to sit down on the grass, and took the five loaves, and the two fishes, and looking up to heaven, *He blessed, and brake, and gave the loaves to his disciples, and the disciples to the multitude
20] *And they did all eat, and were filled: and they took up of the fragments that* *remained twelve baskets full* .

Just 5 loaves and 2 fishes were presented to Jesus to feed over 5k people. He blessed the bread & fish and the rest they say is history.

#You will agree with me that certain things we experience or go through were never meant to be so, or never meant to happen.

The Bible reiterates this in
Matthew 19:8 KJV
but from the beginning it was not so.

Matthew 19:8b MSG
...But it is not part of God's original plan
This is our focus on Monday, 1st Feb. Live on my Facebook & Instagram Pages

Whatever was not meant to be found in your life shall be reversed.

Our reference scripture is taken from

Acts 20:1 MSG
With things back to normal,

God will normalize things.
God will restore things
to it's original state or His Master Plan
He will reverse d irreversible
He will restore lost glory
Restore Lost blessings and much more.
At the end of d "day", this will b your portion;
Isaiah 51:3b KJV
Joy & gladness shall b found therein, thanksgiving, and the voice of melody

The Children of Ephraim got dressed for battle.
They got dressed, probably to appear impressive to unlookers.
They had all they needed to fight & take territories, but, they bailed out at d last minute...at d critical time.

Psalms 78:9 MSG says;
d Ephraimites, armed to d teeth,
ran off when d battle began.
Hmmmmm, what a sad note.

Many 2day, appear dressed up for battles.
Some of us appear dressed up to take territories.
We look as good as warriors.
We speak in tongues, pray d loudest at prayer meetings, attend church d most, yet, lack d real substance
There is a job God has given each of us to do, but, ironically, we focus on the fringe benefits of the kingdom.

There are souls to win, territories to conquer, thrones to dethrone, altars to pull down etc.

*Hab 1:5 MSG*
" Look long and hard. Brace yourself for a shock. Something's about to take place and you're going to find it hard to believe.

The last statement i find very intriguing...

👉🏽It strikes one as a statement of CERTAINTY.

"...Something's
about to take place and you're going to find it hard to believe."😱

Brethren, there are things God will do that you will find hard to believe..☑

When Jesus had this strange encounter with Peter by the lake in Luke 5, the resultant effect was unbelievable.😱.. Peter found it
very hard to believe because, the result of the encounter was against all odds.

✔Against the run of circumstances playing out in your life, God will do the unthinkable that will defy human comprehension.
👇🏼
Your testimony will be.. "it could only have been God.. "💃🏼💃🏼

*1Chronicles 12:1 NLT*
The following men joined David at Ziklag while he was hiding from Saul son of Kish. They were among the warriors who fought beside David in battle.👇🏼

👉🏼these were no ordinary helpers. They were warriors who knew well what to do and how
to do what was needed.

They were relevant for the occasion.✔️

They were not helpers in the wrong places at the wrong time.💪🏻

*They were relevant, however, there are two kinds of helpers* .

Helpers In Times of Crisis or Trouble

*And*

Helpers in times of Peace.
👇🏼
These men came to David in times of Crisis...a time, he needed them the most.

*As this year unfolds* 👇🏼
👉🏼You will not lack helpers in difficult times.

👉🏼You will not lack helpers anytime you need them👇🏼

👉🏼Helpers will show up for you at the right time.
