Had a very interesting conversation with a senior from a different service to mine . He almost admonished me for being vocal on SM and at times rude ! He is around here on Twitter and this is for him ! Sirji , left fauj years back due to some circumstances. Would gladly rejoin1/n
If called back ! My skill sets and punch is lot mightier than it was when I left . Have not been wasting my time ! Never ever opened my mouth or said anything while in uniform . Abided by all service protocols and lead a spotless service . Once I hung my uniform I am bounded 2/n
By no rules from speaking my mind other than societal norms of decency and respect ! Which I have been maintaining with great care . I might have overstepped on a couple of occasions and at times have regretted saying things which I would rather not !But when it comes to what 3/n
I stand for . I will bash on regardless. Cannot compromise on few things . They are my nation , my people and my beliefs . Have never regretted taking those stands ! Will do it every single time I feel I need to speak or say something . Thank you for the advice 4/n
But I humbly choose to completely disregard it and march on my chosen path . We clash again . I will be respectful but will never back off . 🇮🇳🙏 Jai Hind .

Indian Parliament was attacked by gunmen in December 2001 .. The pak sponsored terror angle was deeply being investigated and the government of the day warned the armed forces to be ready for any eventuality . 1/n
This was the period when my release from service had come through and I was getting ready for civilian life , with no idea where to go and what to do . I was in Sena bhavan trying to register with DGR for jobs having done a course in industrial security . 2/n
I was within 2 kms of parliament when it was attacked and still remember the news being played out on the radio of the shop where I stopped to grab a sandwich after all the running around , which many ex servicemen will easily relate to 3/n
On 7th December 2020 , 15 year old ,Cadet Amit Raj of Sainik School Purulia , was in his house in Bihar , when he heard shouting from the neighborhood! . Upon stepping out of the house he realized that his neighbors house was on fire and three children were trapped inside 1/n

The flying was heavy as all the ballot boxes were being transported by helicopters .We were operating a single Mi8 detachment at Imphal . Night parking was at the Manipur University Helipad. We started our day at 0700h and had been flying for 7hours. 1/n
It was 5 pm. Exhausted after a heavy days flying I was ready to retire to our rooms. As I was shutting down the helicopter , I saw a BSF Jeep pull alongside the Helipad with a commandant rank officer jump out. The urgency in his moves told me something was not right . 2/n
As the helicopter was being shutdown by the flight engineer , I asked the co pilot to take controls and walked out towards the BSF officer .The helicopter blades were still turning. The officer told me that a BSF party has been ambushed near likhai and they have 7 injured 3/n
I had to leave the IAF to take care of my sick father as my mom passed away at a young age .It was indeed painful to break a love affair of 12 long years to give priority to the one person for whom I did it all . The cancer was painful and eventually he passed on to the next 1/n
Having made the choice of leaving IAF and a family to feed , I took up commercial flying and picked up job in Mumbai in 2003. I started my civil career and was operating happily. One day we had some gora auditors walk in 2/n
My boss told me that we had to fly the chairman of a major international oil and gas giant .British Petroleum and probably a few VIPs in various places in the country .3/n
