"Among young people who were tested for the virus that causes COVID-19, research found that those who vaped were 5 to 7 times more likely to be infected than those who did not use e-cigarettes."

Even NYT said the use of e-cigarettes raises chances of catching the virus and suffering the worst effects.

Could exhaled vape of someone with the virus spread it further than just their breath?

Vaping might also be a means of spreading the coronavirus. Droplets of virus can escape through e-cigarette aerosols, or through shared devices.

University of Rochester Medical Center reported that vapers and smokers seem to have an abundance of a protein receptor known as ACE2 that acts as a gateway to the virus.

Aerosols released in a vape cloud are so minuscule they hang in the air. If someone vaped in a small room, especially w/ a high powered device, their pulmonary secretions may be suspended in the air for minutes or even a couple of hours after vaping.
