What differentiate a good code from a bad code?
#codingpractices #CodingTips
It’s bulletproof, it takes care of major scenarios, user journeys and exceptions.
Name of the functions, variables are self explanatory. It avoids use of generic or confusing words.
It’s divided into smaller components which are complete, does one function well and can be reused.
Needless to say.. it’s well commented, you don’t need to read code, reading comments does all the work.
It doesn’t re-invent the wheel. It uses existing solutions, functions and libraries to execute.
It cares about the edge cases: 0s, empty strings/lists, nulls, etc.
#CodingTips
It avoids deep threadings and nestings. Simplicity wins for long term. #codingtips
It follows conventions and its consistent throughout. e.g. snake or camel cases.
#CodingTips
It looks beautiful! Only #10xdevelopers will understand. 😉
