The unsuccessful react, the successful are proactive.

10 Smart Strategies That Will Help You Be Proactive And Succeed In LIfe.

///THREAD\\\
To frame these points, I wanted to share this quote:

"A leadership culture is one where everyone thinks like an owner, a CEO, or a managing director. It's one where everyone is entrepreneurial and proactive."

- Robin S. Sharma
1) Develop rituals and systems

All successful people have systems and rituals; this helps to provide a structure to your days

Making you focus on things you’re working on, if it’s important to you, you need to create a ritual around it.

Figure out where you need rituals.
2) Devote time to meditation

For many successful people, meditation is a key part of the day

You can do this at any time or multiple times a day for 5 mins to 30mins

Just sit down and observe what’s happening around you and breathe

It helps clear the mind and focus thoughts.
3) Do less

This isn’t about being lazy; it’s about being selective with what you choose to do.

Do productive things that help your success journey.

Too many people think that to succeed, you must do everything for 12hrs+ a day; they are wrong.
4) Do one thing at a time

This is a simple focus rule; when you’re doing something, focus completely on it.

As the Zen proverb says:

“When walking, walk. When eating, eat.”

Too many try to eat, work, and walk simultaneously; this is a fool's trap.
5) Do things slowly and deliberately

Don’t rush; keep things simple and take your time.

Make your actions deliberate, not rushed or random.

Remember: Slow is smooth, and smooth is fast.
6) Finish what you start

Too many times, you get close to finishing then something shiny comes along.

This creates a problem for you down the line, and it wires your brain to focus on the latest and exciting.

The unsuccessful jump from thing to thing.
7) Create space between things

Don’t schedule things so close together; give yourself time to unwind.

Not only in your day but after milestones on your journey

Reflect on what you’re doing and why; if you don't, you could burn yourself out.
8)Designate time for certain things

This is extremely important on 2 fronts

1)Creating specific times for tasks mean they get done regularly

2)Your brain works differently at certain times of the day

Some have creative zones in the morning, others at night

Find your zones
9) Serve others

Many successful people spend part of their day in service to others, and so should you.

There is no such thing as a self-made person; we all had help from others.

Helping others will help you to be successful.
10) Make Gratitude part of your day

There are great ways to practice mindfulness and humility but none better than being thankful for your life.

Start and end each day with a gratitude practice; the successful in life understand the power of gratitude.
If you want to be proactive in life and successful

You will not go wrong by following these 10 steps.

It will change your days, weeks, and months.

And your life.

What You Tolerate Will Continue.

///Thread\\\ Image
Usually, when someone says to you, "What are you tolerating in life."

You may think about the external: people and things.

But what if it had more to do with you and the 3 areas you have the most control over in life?

1) Your Body

2) Your Mind

2) Your Environments
"Clever people will recognize and tolerate nothing but cleverness."
- Henri Frederic Amiel

You need to recognize the parts of life you are not clever with; what are you tolerating?

1) Your Body:

7 Reasons Why You Should Study Philosophy Your Whole Life

///THREAD\\\
To frame this thread, I wanted to start with these quotes:

"The object of studying philosophy is to know one's own mind, not other peoples."
- William Ralph Inge

"To study philosophy is nothing but to prepare one's self to die."
- Cicero
1. Better thinking

The basics of philosophy teach us Logic, with this:

- You will be able to recognize an argument
- You'll know what fallacies are and be able to spot them
- You'll see what a fact or an assumption is

Philosophy gives you many systems to think with.

We need to talk about the Success Trap

And why you don't want to fall into it!

///THREAD\\\
Behind every victory is the desire for the next one

Every success makes you want more

In reality, there is no peak to success

The climb towards the next one can become addictive.
The success trap has caught many infamous leaders in history

From Caser, Napoleon, to some German dude with a small mustache

All undone by their desire for more, the next success

Only to be unsatisfied at its summit.
