Just listening to #naval almost always awakens the senses of your #thirdeye. Here are some takeaways from his recent clubhouse visit, hope you don't mind @Naval. I prepared this for personal reflection, but I believe there are others out there who will benefit as well.
- We have a right to our labor, but not to the fruits of our labor - quoted Bhagavad Gita
- Figure out what you are serious about in your pursuit
- The most important question in life, what am I here for?
- Reject being the slavery of calendars/holidays/new year resolutions/groups/ herd mentality
- True knowledge only comes from doing the work
- Always try and do your best work, and don't get too attached or distracted by the results
- Stop procrastinating
- Asset is what you earn while you are sleep
- Intelligence is knowing what you want and also being able to get what you want
- Acquire specific knowledge, be accountable, have leverage (productize yourself if you can).
- Warriors get built-in wartime, not in peacetime
- Stories are malleable
- You forgive so that you can find peace
- Do something that helps raise your awareness
- Drop the past completely rather than trying to fix it
- Society is over-socialized
- Groups always have their own agenda
- Everyone is selfish, accept it
- Desire for replication
- You do not need purpose, you can live without anyone
- It's not another person's job to make you happy, it's your job
- If you to want to find a worthy mate, then be worthy of finding of a worthy mate - quoted Charlie Munger
- If you have already set your goals and purpose, don't worry you can always revisit and change it
- Meaning, purpose and happiness are not mutually exclusive
- If you are not getting what you want in life, how smart are you?
- Part of intelligence is not just getting everything you want in life, but also knowing what to want
- Don't get too stressed out or attached to the outcome
- Cultivate your intellectual obsessions, without any goals and you'll be surprised at what you can achieve
- You get what you want out of life, it's just that you should want it badly enough
- Make an internal deal with yourself, and make a promise that you will not break your own word to yourself
- People don't always know the sound of truth, but they know the feel of truth, we are hard-wired to notice it
- Society conditions you like an animal uses guilt and shame sort of like drivers that remind you what to do and not to do
- The group is always there to convince you to do what is right for the group not what is good for you
- The group is always ready to jump on you and turn you into one of the group
- Cultivate self-awareness through solitude, talk to yourself, who know me, better than me
- Humans are so individualistic, we are so different and so unique from each other that the inner world that you have of your internal mind and your mindset and that outer expression you have of your capability is so unbelievably unique to you
- Be incredibly honest and frank with yourself
- There are tremendous benefits in embracing your uniqueness to the core to the max, way more than what society wants you to or society makes you feel comfortable with
- Take responsibility and help yourself
- You have what it takes to create the path to the destination
- Fully embrace and accept yourself and your uniqueness
