"So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?".

This beautiful verse of Chapter Al-Rahman describes its summary.
@Hadithoftheday Chapter Al-Rahman is named after one of the most beautiful Names of Allah.
This chapter shows examples of Divine Grace and restates the importance of various blessings of Allah.
This is the only chapter of the Qur'an in which besides men the jinn also, have been directly addressed
@Hadithoftheday In this Surah, both men & jinn have been made to realize the wonders of Allah's power,His countless blessings, their own helplessness and accountability before Him, and have been warned of the evil consequences of His disobedience & made aware of the best results of His obedience
@Hadithoftheday This repeated verse reminds us time and again for the many blessings we take for granted on a daily basis [and to be thankful for them]. Whether it be in terms of money, food, wealth, health… or anything and everything else.
@Hadithoftheday Surah Rahman, of the Qur'an, is a poetic masterpiece.
The Surah is constantly posing us a question, a question to invoke the sleeping, dejected and ungrateful soul within us. +
@Hadithoftheday Allah is giving us examples of the Sun and the Moon, the co-existing of two seas, giving us descriptions of heaven and what bounties lay within it, all the while asking us how long will we live in denial.
@Hadithoftheday Allah’s mercy is present at every moment and every step. His bounties & favors are innumerable. There are signs and beauty of Allah manifested everywhere & everything, if we would actually let ourselves see them
There is a sign in every single thing so how can we disbelieve in him

@Hadithoftheday Iraq.
Ibraheem A.S was from "Ur", which is now part of southern Iraq.
In his time, the city of Ur was a flourishing industrial and business, centre. The people who lived there were a community of idol-worshippers, ruled by a proud, tyrannical king Nimrud.
@Hadithoftheday Ibraheem A.S was such an honoured Prophet as he was described as Khalil-ullah – the Friend of Allah (Qur’an 4:125).
Allah says in Qur'an:
And Allah took Ibraheem as an intimate friend."
(Qur'an. An-Nisaa 4: Verse 125)
@Hadithoftheday Many Qur’anic verses revealed concerning Ibraheem A.S suggest that his outstanding importance and high rank among prophets was because of the purity and sincerity of his relationship with his Lord, to whom he totally surrendered his will.

The Islamic calendar was first introduced during the era of the Amir Al-Mu’mineen, or, Umar ibn Al-Khattaab R.A during the 16th or 17th year after the Hijrah, (migration of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ)
@Hadithoftheday It was only six years after the Prophet ﷺ that Umar R.A in 17th AH consulted the learned and canonized the Year of Hijrah, as suggested by Ali Ibn Abi Talib, as the beginning of Islamic era.
@Hadithoftheday Uthman bin Affan R.A suggested that the year might begin from the month of Muharram after Haj, which was approved. Thus the first year of Hijrah (1 AH) began from Muharram 1.
