The NPA will today add more charges to ANC SG Ace Magashule’s raft of 21 corruption charges.
Insiders have also said the NPA does “not have a state witness problem” following reports that Magashule’s former PA Moroadi Cholota had hit u-turn and was no longer a state witness.
The NPA is accusing Magashule of accepting over R1.1million in gratification from Edwin Sodi’s partner Ignatius ‘Igo’ Mpambani (who was killed in 2017).
The allegations are that this money was requested by Magashule through her then PA Cholota.
This money, according to the NPA, was used to, among others: acquire 400 tablets, tuition of the daughter of former SARS head of legal Refiloe Mokoena and cover travel expenses of a provincial govt delegation to Cuba.
All of these, state says, were requested by #AceMagashule.
