U.S. official: "We are investigating potential ties between those physically involved in the attack on the Capitol and individuals who may have influenced them, such as Roger Stone, Alex Jones and [Stop the Steal organizer] Ali Alexander.”
Three Proud Boy leaders charged in the Capitol riot or an earlier Trump rally in D.C. — “Enrique” Tarrio, Joe Biggs and Ethan Nordean -- registered a company together last year. Tarrio and Biggs also have preexisting personal or business connections to Stone and Jones.
In Nov. 20 podcast promoted by Jones with Biggs and Nordean, Tarrio suggested viewers “kick off this [Biden] presidency with f------- fireworks,” infiltrate his inauguration and “turn [it] into a f------ circus, a sign of resistance, a sign of revolution.” h/t @dailydot
Tarrio, Biggs, Nordean started Warboys LLC in July, promoting right-wing causes online and via Tarrio’s 1776 Shop in the footsteps of Stone, Jones. Americans must “desensitize” selves to violence, Nordean said in 12/31 vid, as guest called PBs 'soldiers of the right wing' at war.

Judge Karen Henderson, likely swing vote, gently steers the lower court, saying, Sullivan “may have chosen an intemperate amicus, but that doesn’t mean he is going to deny this motion."
More Henderson: “Judge Sullivan ...is an old hand. He’s an excellent trial judge. He may say to himself at least, you know, I asked for advice. I’m ignoring it, and I’m granting a motion to dismiss. Shouldn’t he be allowed to do that?”
NEW Appeals court orders Flynn judge to defend actions, as legal scholars weigh the case’s implications for judicial independence and the Constitution’s separation of powers design. w/ @amarimowwashingtonpost.com/local/legal-is…
“This case does not involve a decision by the Executive Branch simply to ‘drop’ a prosecution,” but a “virtually unprecedented decision” to dismiss a case after it has been won, Laurence Tribe @tribelaw writes with @gtconway3d Columbia U Pres @LEE_BOLLINGER and others.
“The separation of powers protects this Court’s authority to complete the resolution of this case, free from the interference of the Executive Branch,” especially after a case has been fully prosecuted, a guilty plea entered and a sentence recommended.
