Duke received his B.A. degree in music from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, majoring in trombone and composition with a minor in contrabass. He then received his M.A. degree in composition from San Francisco State University. Contd. #28DaysofBlackTees
In 1966, he released his first record which lead to him playing with Frank Zappa and Cannonball Adderley. In the 1980s, he took on a heavy production role working and writing for artists like Anita Baker, Deniece Williams, and The Pointer Sisters. “I love you more” is my jam 🙌🏽
