DDoS Attack & Updates:
Buzzsprout went down about 11:50AM EST. We initially thought it was a server, but quickly realized it was a DDoS attack.

A DDoS attack is basically where somebody spams your servers until they crash. No personal data was accessed or deleted. It just crashes the site.
About 3pm EST we got the site back up, but critical services like uploading new episodes are still not available.

Nearly everything has been working since about 4pm EST.

We will be putting the site into a read-only mode while we deploy some updates in preparation of another attack. We apologize for the issue!
The site should be operating normally for everyone! Unfortunately, we don't know when the criminals may attempt their next extortion.
There are still a few lingering issues we're working on:
- Issues with processing episodes with Magic Mastering
- Small number of podcasts are getting errors uploading. If you run into that issue, a fix is to upload the episode with just a title then go back and add the rest.

Attackers are back in full force. We're weathering this a lot better than the first one. Lot's of people are getting 502 and 504 errors.

We've been down for just over 3 hours now.
Some people are able to log in but are still running into issues uploading.
This is similar to what happened yesterday when we came back up, but still had issues with the uploader.

During normal times, it can take up to 24 hours for podcasts to show up in Apple Podcasts.
Since we had a lot of downtime today and yesterday, it might take quite a bit longer to see episodes in Apple Podcasts.
Everything should be up within the next 24 hours, automatically.
