Big news! Eugene City Council has decided to allow the franchise agreement with fracked gas corporation NW Natural to lapse - ramping up pressure on the utility to come to the table over climate goals. This is a huge win for our movement for a #FossilFreeEugene
While there haven't been any official announcements from the city, city staff have made comments to this effect at different meetings on Thursday and Friday of last week. We expect a formal announcement from council at the Public Forum tomorrow (Monday) at 7:30pm.
