Sonic Mania Composer, @teelopesmusic joins us too!
Thank you everybody for your contributions, wow!! This is such a blast.
I have to take a break from posting these now, been on the computer for too long, but damn.
Y'all are funky.
This right here is the Videogame Music equivalent to a Sea Shanty and I love it!
I think I will make a compilation with the best of this whole jam session later this week, it'll be fun!
Jeff brought some Disco vibes with his crazy violin chops! (@jeffthatnoise )
GUYS! Our jam is on The Verge!
So glad to see so many of you on the article.
Thank you @verge !
Working on a super-cut compilation featuring as many of us as possible these days, look forward to it! theverge.com/2021/2/23/2229…
Track is by the man, Shoji Meguro.
Vocals by the legendary @Lyn_Inaizumi
I think this is one of the tracks where her skills shine a lot, you can hear that quite a bit in the Rain version
On the subject of Persona 5, @Atlus_West sent me a copy of Persona 5 Strikers.
It can't be stressed enough just how much of a proper sequel this is.
This isn't a Musou adaptation of a Persona game, but rather a Persona adaptation of the Musou genre.
And the music? MY. GOD.
Endwalker's Trailer, and especially, the community's hype really sparked an interest for many to get into FFXIV.
To all those asking: yes. It is definitely a good idea to catch up with it.
Especially if you want to experience some of the best modern FFs ever (HW & Shadowbringers)
One caveat tho:
The first part of the game (A Realm Reborn) is very heavy compared to all the others.
I recommend to start FFXIV with a friend and playing it together with them, or to stream it on Twitch.
Alternatively, you could also ask a friend to mentor you
I had the luck to play ARR since the early beta days with some amazing friends from an Italian Final Fantasy community.
Even though the game was slow, we had a blast discovering Eorzea together because it's such an amazing world.
There's been lots of funny moments too
I hope you guys enjoyed the FINAL FANTASY week!
I've released four of my absolute favorite FF remixes ever in these 7 days.
It's been a blast to dive deeper in the music of the saga that made me want to become a composer & musician.
A quick recap in case you missed it:
I'm telling you guys, this is one of the best melodies from Soken.
Playing around with it made me realize just how much potential it has to be used in so many ways, I'm quite sure it'll become a fan favorite like Amaurot.
Also, I think the way it fits so well with Around The World is a reflection of the fact that the game takes place on the moon.
IT CAN'T BE A COINCIDENCE.
I hope @SOKENsquareenix will publish the full version of the theme without trailer SFX & voiceovers soon because it deserves to be heard in full glory.
So far, it's one of the most "wholesome" main themes for me perosnally, and when you speed it up like here it sounds straight out of Tekken / Yakuza. Love it!
Also, I'm quite sure @huskybythegeek will do a cover of this and absolutely kill it.
This is very much in his style!
FINAL FANTASY IV REMAKE LOOKING GOOD.
Ahem, I mean, FFXIV 6.0.
Give it to me now. NOW.
Cecil cosplay looking good.
Kain please make an appearance too.
PLEASE.
Considering that we went from being a "Warrior of Darkness" in FFXIV 5.0 to being a "Paladin On The Moon" in 6.0, I think we can surely expect to see this scene in full glory as an additional FFIV reference.
FINALLY.
