GOSPEL SONGS AWARDS.

Lately, the Christian space have been awash with clamours for gospel songs recognition in secular events and awards. In these days where there are several landmines on Christian Twitter, let us objectivity look through the lens of the scriptures.

A Thread..

This discourse is not to start another trendy topic, or whip emotions.

We need to answer the following questions together to arrive at an appropriate answer together.

Who is a Gospel minister?
Is it a ministry or a profession?
If you think it is a profession, then your point...

Is justified, we are not on the same page.

If it is a ministry, what is the purpose of a ministry?

Would it be to save souls and edify believers or to impress men?
If a minister enters a studio with the intention of getting awards, my bet is he would spend more time arranging..

and perfecting, than they would in prayers.

Does it mean, we must be given to mediocrity or below par ministrations? A thousand times. No.

So, if people are singing with a clamour for award, would they benefit the "body" again or some people?

I know you can begin to point at awards, in and outside the country maybe in big denominations.

I even have "men" that I respect their voices subscribe to this. But with every sense of humility and without spitting anyone or institution, this does not fulfill the ministry..

And in humility it would not matter who does what or not, it is the truth of God's word.

In the days where you everything, even those written in black and white should be debated, I know it will be difficult to wake someone who has made up the mind to pretend to sleep..

Sometimes, I'm happy about so many talk about God and the spread of God's word, at other times when I see what we debate, what we clamour, fear grips all over again.

Why must there be the urge to always have a "Christian version of everything"

Every trend
Every Slang..

Every Festival
Every demonstration
Every Challenge
Every craze.

Can we have a serious sincere talk?

Because at this rate, I have been saying it, someone will suggest we have a "Gospel porn".

The very nature Christ have come yo redeem us from is what we feed.

Since we want to would sustain this, let's agree we have awards for

Prayer leaders,
Church cleaners,
Technical department leaders.
Evangelism team.
Etc.

Maybe i don't understand, maybe i will never understand.
Our opinions might differ, but is Christ?

For someone to think..

It's being myopic,
It's makes us boring,
And whatever attending name calling.

Sit down to learn and meet Christ.
