FYI: Here in Alberta, @jkenney has made it ILLEGAL, since Dec. 8/20, to have anyone in your own home from outside your household. That's almost 3 months of people *not* getting together with their parents, children, siblings, friends, etc... /1
Many of these people have been working from home, so they don't have the opportunity to socialize at work. Many people are lonely, depressed, anxious, they don't know when this will all end, because folks like @jkenney keep moving the 'goal posts'... /2
regarding what and where we're going with his inane mandates. People are desperate, and @jkenney spews his 'love your neighbor' rhetoric while destroying people's lives. Let me be very clear, what Pastor James Coates was doing, and many others continue to do... /3
was/is the most loving thing that a compassionate human could be doing for so many whose lives are being destroyed by tyrannical government overreach. Many within @jkenney's own party break the mandates regularly, in fact, just the other day I personally witnessed... /4
two Alberta Health workers breaking the rules in place for in-person dining. I was in one of our smaller provincial cities last week for work - this means restaurants, hotels, businesses - and in 3 days, only 1 (ONE) person asked me to mask up... /5
All over our province, people are fed up with this tyranny, and @jkenney has the audacity to push the false narrative that people everywhere are complying. They're not. Many are, BUT many aren't. The gov't is choosing to allow Pastor James Coates to be made an example of... /6
...and we can only assume that it's because GraceLife in Edmonton proved all their projections to be false. So, before you - especially Christians - criticize Pastor Coates, remember there are multiple laws in place in AB right now that infringe on basic human rights... /7
and in light of those laws, Pastor James Coates, and every other pastor in our province who is conducting church and defying government orders that are destroying many lives, are the most loving people you will meet. They care about our souls enough to risk prison... 8/
to tend to the flock. These are men of great courage, who love people, and we love you all too. Thank you for selflessly serving the flocks that our Great Shepherd has entrusted to your care! May God bless you all! /end
