1/ In the last 9 months, I've built a 300,000 person audience from scratch in less than one hour per day.

I did it using the single most underrated platform for creators right now: TikTok.

It isn't for kids, and you don't have to dance.

Here's how to master TikTok 👇

2/ Schedule 1 hour every week to batch-produce content.

It's much easier to continue shooting than it is to start. 

Shoot outside - in nature, in the city, etc.

3/ Focus on making actionable, "how-to" videos.

Ignore trends, dances & challenges.

4/ Write out what you're going to say in advance. This helps you stay concise.

5/ Your first 2 seconds need to capture the viewer's attention.

Use a catchy headline and appealing words like "easiest", "best", "fastest".

6/ Your last sentence should always be a call to action.

"Follow for more" works wonders.

7/ Have one clear message per video.

8/ Get your energy up.

Nobody wants to watch you if you seem tired.

9/ Shoot directly in the app.

Like all social media platforms, TikTok favors native content.

10/ Use every visual element available to you to reinforce your message.

e.g. clothes, background, props, tools, colors, etc.

11/ Set the timer to shoot a 60-second video - not the default 15 seconds - because you’ll want to…

12/ Shoot 15-25 second videos.

This is the sweet spot for viral videos.

If your timer is set to 15 seconds, you might get cut off just as you’re reaching your Brangelina moment.

13/ Create an emotional response in the first two seconds of your video - excitement, surprise, intrigue, etc

Using physical movement really helps.

14/ Shoot your video in increments of 1-3 seconds.

Move between the segments so as to create energy, intrigue, and novelty every few seconds.

15/ Speak clearly. Do not mumble or use any necessary words. Clarity is key.

16/ Record several times.

The more you practice, the more natural you will sound and the more momentum and energy you’ll gain.

17/ Subtitle every word.

80% of users have the sound turned off.

18/ Eliminate all pauses in your speech by trimming your videos.

This will make sure the viewer never has the time to wonder if they're bored (thanks @MrBeast for this one)

19/ Use a trending sound turned down to 3% of volume.

20/ Use 4 hashtags - 2 trending & 2 niche.

Trending hashtags show up on your Discover page, and when you enter the hashtags in the editing.

21/ Post your videos at 6.30pm and 7pm your local time.

22/ Reply to all comments.

This incentivizes people to come back, spend more time on your video and play your video on repeat.

23/ The most important metric in TikTok is watch time.

Make people want to watch your videos several times.

24/ Never delete your videos.

Instead, turn them to private.

25/ Re-post your best content once a month
