#PokemonLegendsArceus takes place in the Sinnoh region long before the events of Pokémon Diamond and Pokémon Pearl.

The story unfolds in a long-gone era, before the idea of being a Pokémon Trainer or having a Pokémon League even existed.

All around, you’ll find Pokémon living wild in harsh environments that make for a Sinnoh unlike the region you may remember. You’ll need to catch, survey, and research the wild Pokémon of Sinnoh to create the region’s first Pokedex.

#PokemonLegendsArceus takes the series in a new direction, fusing action with RPG elements.

As you explore, you’ll encounter Pokémon in the wild—observe their behavior, then sneak up, aim your Poké Ball, and throw! Your ally Pokémon can also battle Pokémon you hope to catch.

You’ll still begin your journey with a Pokémon partner—but they won’t be native to the Sinnoh region. The starters you’ll choose from arrived from other regions with a Pokémon Professor, who encountered them during his research.

Rowlet is a Grass/Flying-type Pokémon originally discovered in Alola.

Rowlet uses photosynthesis to store up energy during the day, while becoming active at night. Silently it glides, drawing near its targets before pelting them with vicious kicks.

Cyndaquil is a Fire-type Pokémon originally discovered in Johto.

Cyndaquil is timid and always curls itself up in a ball. When it’s surprised, the flames on its back flare up. When it is attacked, this Pokémon uses its flames to protect itself.

Oshawott is a Water-type Pokémon originally discovered in Unova.

With the schalchop on its stomach, Oshawott blocks opponents’ attacks, then immediately retaliates by slashing. Its scalchop can be used to break open hard Berries as well.
