Dr. José Celso Barbosa is the black founder of The Republican Party of Puerto Rico (Spanish: Partido Republicano de Puerto Rico).

He is also known as the father of the statehood for #PuertoRico movement.
Nowadays, it's very hard to find Afro–Puerto Ricans, in leadership positions in the Republican Party.

It's alot ALOT (like alot) of light-skin (white) Boriquas.

Thoroughly denegrofied.

You'd never kno a black man {doctor) started that party.
